Mickey works with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations looking to strengthen and extend their outreach efforts to make a more significant contribution to the community at large.
NONPROFIT CONSULTING
For over 20 years, Mickey Mikeworth has been giving back to the community by helping nonprofit organizations and community services programs build and implement ideas to increase support, extend reach, and deliver services in new and more efficient ways. Recently, Mickey was brought in by Hazelden, the addiction treatment center for alcohol and drug rehabilitation, as one of the financial voices for its national Life Skills Series.
Besides consulting for nonprofits, she herself was responsible for founding Project Elf, a group of likeminded people with a passion for stocking homeless shelters which are lacking or void of donations. Since its inception, Project Elf has brought in over $1 million of donated goods across two states.
Currently, Mickey heads up a project focused on the donation of furniture for families coming out of shelters — and she’s been doing it with just a small group of volunteers. In fact, her work with homeless families and Headstart just earned her the partnership award here in Minnesota.
CORPORATE OUTREACH
As a way of multiplying philanthropy and helping more families break out of poverty, Mickey has also consulted with corporations looking to extend their outreach efforts. She helps them develop unique strategies to create prosperity for the impoverished and enact lasting change into their surrounding communities.
